We cater for Bed and Breakfast, and evening meals for the businessmen and tourist alike and everyone is most welcome, whether the stay be long or short.

Gardenia Guest House is a detached Victorian Grade C listed town house, built in 1892,pink granite was used in its construction and it is situated in the historic ROYAL BURGH OF BANFF. We are conveniently and centrally sited on CASTLE STREET, being within easy access to the town centre with its varied eating establishments and shops, sandy beaches, ROYAL DUFF GOLF COURSE and MARINA. The front bedrooms all have sea views.
Gardenia Guest House is a 3 star graded Visitscotland.com guest house offering superior comfortable accommodation in a friendly and homely house. Our home is your home for the duration of your visit therefore you are welcome to come and go as you wish.

 

This first photograph is of our entrance hall leading to the staircase accessing the first floor accommodation.

The inner vestibule door is of patterned stained glass construction and at the top of the first landing we have a most beautiful large stained glass window. The house has been refurbished over the years and original features have been retained.


 


All our spacious bedrooms are designed for maximum comfort, having en suite facilities, colour television, hair dryers and tea/coffee making facilities allowing to you have a cup of tea or coffee at any time.



This is a double room at the front of the house. It is large with a king size bed and en suite shower room with toilet and wash basin.

 


This is a bedroom which can be either a twin or double bedded room, depending on the requirements of our guests. There is a double door giving wider access to the en suite shower room,(with toilet and wash basin), and access to this room would be suitable for a person with difficulty walking up steps or with the use of a wheel chair as it is all on ground floor level.
 


This is our family room. It is at the front of the house, a large room with a view of the sea views. There is a double and single bed in this room and if required there is plenty of room for either another occasional bed or a travelling cot. This also has a en suite shower room with toilet and wash basin.

We have other bedrooms, twins on the ground floor, doubles on both ground and first floor level, and single on the first floor. The single room has a private bathroom with shower, bath, toilet and wash basin.


A full Breakfast is served in the dining room on the ground floor, between 8am and 9am, although an earlier breakfast is available should you require it. Breakfast cereals, fruit juice and grapefruit segments are available on the side table and guests are requested to help themselves to these. The substantial Scottish breakfast, hot toast, tea and coffee are served to order. Home made creamy porridge is always on the breakfast menu.

We now serve an evening meal at between 6pm and 7pm by prior arrangement. A sample menu is on page 6 of this web site. The menu changes daily.

The decor in the dinning room gives a warmth to this room, and an unusual feature is the border of "books" which can be seen in the photograph.




Self catering bed sits are now available for let on weekly basis.

We have limited private car park space at the rear of the property, however a public car park is next to Gardenia Guest House along with public parking in front of the property.
